Many of the people who use this site are older adults, or are helping one. We want every page to be easy to read and easy to use.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and to go further where it helps:
- Body text is never smaller than 18 pixels.
- Body text has very high contrast against its background (at least 7 to 1).
- Buttons are large, at least 56 pixels tall, with full-word labels.
- Every page works when zoomed to 200 percent.
- Every form works with a keyboard alone, and errors are explained in words.
- No pop-ups, moving carousels, or videos that play on their own.
- Motion is turned off if your device asks for reduced motion.
